Registration is open and ongoing for our twice weekly class sessions. Suitable for beginners, intermediate and advanced sewists. Need help with sewing special fabrics or unique projects? Longing to make your own custom fitted sloper? Need help in translating your design idea into a pattern? Dreaming of constructing a tailored jacket?
Look no further than our classes taught by Susan Angermann. You decide the class topic that you want to learn and you register for the number of sessions that are needed in order to finish the content in a timeline that works for you.
Standard Class Topics include sloper creation, exploring draping and creative pattern making. You can move back and forth between bodice and pant sloper classes or try draping. Once you have your sloper in hand you can then move on to pattern making and create any style garment you choose. The possibilities are endless.
After selecting your topic, the next step is register for your first session. Sessions are limited to 4 students in order to give each student personalized attention. Nearly every Wednesday and Saturday throughout the year, excluding holidays, we offer a morning and an afternoon session on any topic of your choosing.
You receive THREE FULL HOURS of personalized instruction and hands on assistance from Susan in each of her class sessions. Susan is a graduate in fashion and design and has taught in the field for many years, resolving fitting issues on every body type.
Her morning sessions are held 10am to 1:00pm. Afternoon sessions run from 1:30pm to 4:30pm. You can register for just one session a day or for both sessions on the same day.
Registration is open for Linda's 2020 classes which include the Mai Su Kimono Jacket, Suzanne Wrap and Twisted Wrap all patterns by Emma Seabrooke. Those registering will receive 15% off on fabric.
Please bring your own basic sewing supplies, needles, thread, chalk marker, scissors or rotary, pencil, eraser, etc. A walking foot is useful if you are bringing your own machine. If you would like to reserve one of ours, please do so at the time of registration.
